Shangri-La is an assisted living facility located in Columbiana in a rural country setting. A ten acre facility that will provide a home atmosphere where residents can have freedom to do anything they want. It is a supervised environment for persons who because of age or disabilities are incapable of living independently in their own homes. Shangri-La will provide service directed towards achieving happiness, welfare and comfort of each resident. Owned and operated by Richard and Rizalina Nichols. Riza has been a registered nurse for over 20 years and over 10 years experience working in a nursing home. Shangri-La is licensed by the State of Alabama Health Department as a Specialty Care Assisted Living Facilty (SCALF).
